Waves are everywhere. They are primordial things in our universe. Life comes in waves. Weekdays we’re up and about. Weekends we rest. Yet why don’t honor biological waves in how we work in the office? No rest for the wicked, they say. That wickedness is in contact centers, most times.
Open office plans. Floor managers watching from raised command centers. KPIs that reward visible activity more than real problem-solving. What we leaders may call transparency, some recognize as surveillance. We live in a panoptic society.
